So entsteht Kunst.
HARUKO macht. HARUKO lacht.
The Suprematist Haunting of HARUKO
HARUKO makes.
Alan Roth (Corner College) says: “Your art is probably a Freudian slip!”
I smile. Yes, if you want to see it that way.
I, however, believe it is more of a Freudian promise.
“We are not masters in our own house.“Sigmund Freud
The unconscious is always in the mix, alongside all the clever ideas that are buzzing around inside us!
Art-making is always a sublimation of drives. That is how art comes into being.
I suspect that behind every teapot lies some great secret, and in every castle in the air, a revelation.
At every exhibition, I secretly hope that, by some lucky accident, a pretty woman will hook me and send us both rolling across the floor.
“The sacred is connected with the obscene.”
Georges Bataille.
Eros and Thanatos are constant companions at work, while the superego keeps the two of them in check.
Rarely enough does “subversion” or “transgression” actually succeed.
In art, I let the horses run wild — and sometimes the horses run wild with me.
Where do we let ourselves fall, if not until death?
Have we reached the point where Joseph Beuys’ expanded concept of art needs to be reconsidered?
HARUKO makes. HARUKO laughs.
